Game Features

The Myst IV: Revelation team revealed several features on the various message boards:
Hint system An optional help system can be installed. It contains 3 levels of hints: Level 1 = gentle nudge in right direction, Level 3 = solution.
Subtitles for all live action scenes.
Cursor options Ability to choose the skin color, left or right handedness and the transparency of your hand.
Journal and camera Doesn't necessarily replace your note pad, but this feature let you record your thoughts inside the game. And instead of doing sketches you can take pictures.
Sound hotspots You may touch a lot more things then in the previous Myst games and you will be rewarded with a sound, like tipping into water will create a *blub* sound.

Peter Gabriel, world-renowned recording artist, worked in collaboration with award-winning composer Jack Wall to create the game's immersive and ambient soundtrack.
